In ranked, fewer ship for enemy to shoot at, And you’re far more likely to meet experienced players who know how to kill T5 cruisers. In random there are more targets to shoot at other than you, and you’re more likely to have newer players at T5. I think it’s the difference between ranked and random. What’s the saying? T5 cruisers are made from tissue paper and gasoline? Texas is a bit of a brawler, it's guns are no good from ranges farther than 9 km, you have to move close to your target to be effective and it kind of suits my play style. I am not saying that I play battleships better than I play cruisers but at least now I do not lose 70% of my HP with just one salvo from an enemy battleship and I do not feel so utterly helpless as I did when I tried different cruisers. I solved the problem, I switched to playing battleships, or one battleship in particular: Texas. Get either very low DPM or floaty shells (or both), and the dispersion can be shitty because at this tier some cruisers are still using single turretsĮven unicums can hardly make cruisers work this time. Little engine/rudder protection, let you lose control of your ship when running away High and exposed citadel that provides little protection, some can be penetrated by battleship HEĮverywhere except citadel plating can be overmatched (except few) No need to deal with carrier planes (arguably best counter against battleships)Ĭloser fighting range so dispersion problem is lightened Thick casemate/deck armor that cruisers can hardly penetrate Much better citadel protection than many high tier battleships
